Terms

The terms for using this website and for Bitnwise Cloud.

Who we are

Bitnwise is operated by Nikolaos Panagiotis Karakoulis, a private individual. You can reach us through the contact form or by email (). In these terms, “we” means Bitnwise and “you” means you.

Using this website

This website presents Bitnwise, its products, services and writing, for information. Content may change over time. Lumina Guardian and QuietHaze are in development; their features and availability may change before release.

The Bitnwise name, branding, website content and product concepts belong to Bitnwise or its founder unless stated otherwise. Links to external sites such as GitHub or LinkedIn are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

Studio services

Software development and consulting work is agreed and invoiced individually, under a separate written agreement for each project. These services are not sold through this website and are not processed by Lemon Squeezy, which handles Bitnwise Cloud subscriptions only.

Bitnwise Cloud

Buying

Bitnwise Cloud is sold through Lemon Squeezy, LLC, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all orders: it is the seller of the subscription, takes payment, charges the applicable VAT, issues your receipt and handles refunds. Prices are shown including VAT. The charge is processed in US dollars at the current exchange rate, so your bank may show it in USD and may apply a currency conversion fee.

Subscription and renewal

Plans are billed yearly in advance and renew automatically at the end of each year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; the plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for. If a price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal and we tell you before it does.

Changing plan

Moving up takes effect immediately, and you pay only the difference for the rest of the year; an estimate is shown before you confirm, and the exact amount is on your receipt. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal.

Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of payment, without giving a reason. The refund policy has the details.

Your files

What you store remains yours. You give us only the permission needed to store, back up and deliver it for you. You are responsible for having the right to store and share it, and for keeping your own copies of anything important.

Acceptable use

You must follow the acceptable use policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks it, in particular where content is illegal or harms others.

Availability

We work to keep the service running and backed up, and publish its current status at status.bitnwise.com. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, and planned maintenance may occasionally make the service unavailable for short periods.

When a subscription ends

The retention policy applies: two weeks of full access, then read-only access so you can download everything, and permanent deletion on day 100.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Bitnwise Cloud is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Your rights as a consumer

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep every right that EU consumer law and the mandatory consumer protection law of the country where you live give you. Nothing in these terms limits or replaces those rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes to the Bitnwise Cloud terms are emailed to customers at least 30 days before they apply.
