Lumina Guardian: Privacy shouldn’t require attention.
01 / Awareness

Privacy shouldn’t require attention.

Lumina Guardian is designed for the moments when your screen becomes exposed before you notice it. It shifts privacy from a manual action to an adaptive experience.

Lumina Guardian: Know when someone is looking.
02 / Context

Know when someone is looking.

Face awareness, gaze behavior and multi-person detection help the product understand when your screen may no longer be private.

Lumina Guardian: Blackout when it matters.
03 / Protection

Blackout when it matters.

When the environment becomes risky, dynamic blackout can protect sensitive content with a visual behavior that feels intentional rather than broken.

Lumina Guardian: Built for public spaces.
04 / Real life

Built for public spaces.

Public transport, cafés, airports, open offices and waiting rooms are normal mobile environments. Privacy should travel with the user.

What Lumina Guardian is

Lumina Guardian is a privacy app concept for phones that protects what is visible on the screen, not only what is stored on the device. Encryption, screen locks and app permissions guard your data from other software. They do nothing about the person sitting next to you on the train who can read your messages over your shoulder. Lumina Guardian is built for that gap: visual privacy in the places people actually use their phones.

How it works

The product combines several signals into one adaptive behavior:

  • Gaze privacy shield. When you look away from the screen, sensitive content can dim or hide until your attention returns.
  • Face and iris movement calibration. A short calibration teaches the app how your own face and eye movement look, so it can tell your attention apart from someone else's.
  • Shoulder-surfing and multi-person detection. When a second face appears in view of the screen, the app treats the moment as exposed.
  • Dynamic blackout. In a risky moment the screen goes dark in a deliberate, recognisable way, so it feels like protection rather than a glitch.
  • Light-effect notifications. Incoming activity is signalled with light instead of text, so the phone can tell you something happened without showing what it is.

Where it helps

Public transport, cafés, airports, open-plan offices, waiting rooms and shared homes: everyday places where a screen is visible to people you did not choose to share it with. Lumina Guardian moves privacy from a manual habit (tilting the phone, hiding previews, buying a privacy filter) to something the phone does for you, at the moment it matters.

Who it is for

People who read work email, banking apps, health information or private conversations on the move, and anyone who simply prefers that strangers cannot read their screen.
